The First Portrait Session during Lockdown

What a delight it was to be able to go out and take some portraits of the lovely Hannah. We decided to do this at Bourne Woods, I had never been there before, so Hannah was my guide and model. It’s such a lovely place and I’ll definitely go again for portraits or just for a little wander. We arrived so that we would be there over the golden hour and the light did not disappoint. It was I think the hottest day we had in June, lots of flies I had to edit out!

I could not have been happier to be photographing a human that was not myself again and have been grateful for every portrait session I have had since. I am so happy with the images. Taking the time to come up with a mood board and have a goal for them was so refreshing. I think they are some of my favourites that I have taken so far.

So, without further ado, let's have a look at some of the many portraits I took this day.

The main words I used on my mood board for how I wanted them to feel were: Romantic, Stylish, and feminine. Inspiration was taken from both paintings and other photographers work.

How did I do?

Thank you so much for looking through these images! It took me a second to warm up at the beginning as it had been a while, but I am so pleased with them. So good to take photographs that have no real purpose, just for fun to share what we can do.

Check out Hannah's small business The Treatment Room. You can find more of my work on my website, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, I'm pretty much everywhere!

As always, have a great day!
